We had a cousins  dinner reunion on 09 15 2019 with people from across our country. Easy to get there, easy access with ample parking, great setting, clean premises including the bath room, terrific knowledgeable server who acted as if he owned the place....Our food was superb with delightful portions !.....All indices rated 5/5.....Well done in all areas....I will gladly drive the 90 miles again !....Thank you !......Mark

I have a feeling that if I grew up in an Italian family that the meal I had would have been a weekly event....only without as many leftovers. We were a very large group of 32 that took over an event eoom at this place. The people that worked here collectively had the patience of Job as we were all tired but hungry and they were super friendly throughout.
This was a family style service with a chosen menu so all we had to do was eat. The opening course was salad and an antipasto dish then some callimari followed by the shrimp Diavolo then Vodka alla Penne, chicken parmagian (sic) and this chicked that was rolled with cheese ham and asparagus. We had a huge basket of bread to share on the table that was served warm and fresh.
My single objection were the portions. We were a table of 8 given food for a table of 20. If we hadnt taken the leftovers it would just be so much food wasted. I wish I werent flying home the next day as I would have taken some of that penne vodka...yum!

Bring your appetite!  When people say it's "family style" they really do mean that they bring you enough food to feed your family!!
This is one of the places we think of first when we want to have a group dinner, and our most recent visit there were about 15 of us.
I have always enjoyed the dishes at Cantina.  Our most recent visit we got the antipasto platters that were HUGE and layered with meat, olives, peppers, pickled veggies, and cheese.  We got 3 entrees (the waiter tried to tell us we might only need 2, but why would we listen? haha we never learn!).   Of course, there's bread, and then the entrees.  We got the chicken gorgonzola, a pork tenderloin dish with sun-dried tomatoes, celery, capers, and a yummy sauce, and the last was a veal roll that looked a bit like a small meatloaf but I think it was a layered/rolled oval of deliciousness!  They bring huge bowls of pasta in sauce and then the entrees.   We were all stuffed to our eyebrows and took leftovers home.
Recommend for a big group, I have yet to try it as a couple or a group of 4, but listen to your waiter if he tells you you're ordering enough food for 10!

If 0 stars were possible, this place would get one. Salad at the start was straight from a dole bag with more red cabbage than lettuce, covered in an ungodly amount of balsamic, half a tomato and one slice of a mandarin orange(like why thoug?). Not appetizing. Ordered the penne calabrese, it came out in a bowl with enough oil to make it a soup. The penne was over cooked, it was supposed to come with sundried tomatoes but they were just grape tomatoes heated up and the prosciutto wasn't heated up. All in all a waste, especially considering the price. The men's room must be under repair because the toilet and faucets are missing handles, with the toilet using a bolt to flush it.

Update: avoid chicken. Apparently the we weren't the only party that had someone suffer from food poisoning after eating a chicken based meal.

Absolute pouring rain night and out to dinner with friends.  Great respite from the rain.  Good food and good drinks and friendly restaurant.  Definitely worth coming time and time again.
